Salonnepro was founded back in 2005 by two sisters. They started their company as a wholesaler and not long after they became the exclusive distributor of numerous salon brands. That’s how the got their first glimpse into the professional beauty market. National salons and beauticians joined them on their journey as entrepreneurs and became loyal customers. In the years that followed, they developed SALONNEPRO, a cosmetics brand born from the demand of their customers. All products in the Solutions Series contain natural extracts and ingredients of vegetable origin. High-quality skin care with nourishing ingredients that is also affordable. For example, their creams contain a base of coconut oil and shea butter, making the creams creamy and full and helps them absorb more quickly into your skin.
When these products came in the mail, I immediately thought this packaging is so classy and elegant. Like, who does’t love to showcase their products on their make-up vanity? Mostly, I have my everyday grab-and-go products on my counter or aesthetically pleasing ones I have yet to try out. I received 4 items for reviewing purposes: their Aloe Vera Glycolic Toner, the Salicylic Cleanser, the Aqua Recover HYA+ Serum and an Organic LIp Balm. In 2014, they extended their range and developed the SALONNEPRO BIO Series or Salonnepro Organics, which are fair, genuine products without any chemical additives and with organic ingredients that truely benefit your skin complexion. When the demand paraben-free product series rose, they developed the Salonnepro Solutions in 2015.
Salonnepro has a broad range of specific products for everyone’s skin concerns which I love! Their Aqua Recover was created for people with dehydrated and normal to dry skin, their Total Repair products are for people with a more mature skin and their Skin Perfect range is made to fit people with rosacea and very sensitive skin. The first two items I tried out were their Aloe Vera Glycolic Toner and Salicylic Cleanser. The pure toner focuses on skin-repair with Aloe Vera as the main active ingredient while on the other hand the glycolic acid effectively removes dead skin cells for natural, fresh looking skin. It also counteracts the formation of milia and impurities, suitable for all skin types and should not be used for removing eye makeup. The gentle cleansing milk contains 2% salicylic acid and was specially developed for combined skin with clogged pores. Salicylic acid actively dissolves sebum deposits in your pores. The natural active ingredients protect your skin and stabilize sebum production. This way impurities are less likely to develop.
I was most impressed by their Aloe Vera Glycolic Toner and Aqua Recover HYA+ Serum. Toners used to be incredibly drying and did not contribute to getting a more radiant and healthy complexion. Nowadays, toners dot the complete opposite. They used to contain high concentrations of alcohol to help remove oil from the skin, now they are often alcohol-free. Toner actually looks like water and acts like water. But it’s not water. It’s packed with so much more than hydrogen and oxygen. Depending on the toner, it also can contain acids, glycerin, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatories. This one helped reduce redness and removed any dead skin cells. Try to think of toner as prep for your pores. You should use a toner no later than a minute after cleansing your face. I know that sounds crazy, but it truely helps because most molecules penetrate the skin better when your skin is still wet. This way, applying active ingredients immediately after cleansing delivers much better results.
Another beauty tip: serums should be applied twice on a daily basis. It’s the first product that should be applied to your skin after cleansing and toning, which I did with their Aloe Vera Glycolic Toner and Salicylic Cleanser. I locked the serum in with a moisturizer at night. During the day I used an SPF30 based moisturizer. Ultraviolet rays can be so damaging, even the cloudiest of days and moisturisers with SPF should definitely be a year-round beauty bag essential. The Aqua Recover HYA+ Serum helps combat dry skin, gives an intense hydration and gives you that smooth skin feeling. The serum contains hyaluronic acid to restore moisture balance and natural ingredients to bind and retain moisture in your skin cells. The active ingredient in this forumula is a natural stem cell extract from the cactus plant. This peptide brings the basal cell layer in an optimal condition, so that the newly formed skin cells are healthier and look better. The Organic Lip balm performed just like it should. The lightweight formula kept my lips hydrated for a very long time.
If you’re still looking for your perfect skincare fit, I’d suggest you check out their latest launches on their website www.salonnepro.com and discover which line suits you best.
