HOW TO GET THAT HEALTHY GLOW

DISCOVER YOUR GLO

I discovered Glo Skin Beauty through Marianna Hewitt. When I got the opportunity to try out their new fall collection myself, I was very enthousiastic since Glo Skin Beauty products are never tested on animals, paraben-free and their award-winning mineral makeup line is PETA approved – and their packaging is very aesthetically plaesing too. The first item I tried was the Oily Skin Set from their skincare range. I am a firm believer that any good make-up application starts with a flawless, nourrished base. The set comes with their four best-selling skincare essentials, a purifying gel cleanser; a purifying mist; an oil free moisturizer and contour eye lift. Thse four products regulate your oil production and help keep yur pores clear with antibacterial, purifying and oil-controlling ingredients. This kit is travel-size friendly which is a huge bonus since I’m always on-the-go. My favorite product was definitely the purifying mist which ended up being a staple item in my handbag! This clarifying toner helped me balance, hydrate and refine my complexion. I loved using this spray after showering, to prep my skin in the morning prior to applying make-up and as a refreshener throughout my busy schedule. After two weeks of including Glo into my everyday skincare-routine, the resultats were very eye-opening. My acne-prone skin was calmed down immensely, felt revitalized and looked so healthy.

Glo Minerals’ make-up collection had the same aesthetically pleasing vibe. I started off with applying their Luminous Liquid Foundation in the shade Linen which was perfect for my more pale, neutral and cool undertone. This foundation comes in 8 different shades: from Porcelain to Mocha. Given the fact that this foundation has an SPF of 18, it didn’t give me flashback in photos for some reason. My preferred method of application was using a dense brush. The finish of this formula has a soft focus effect. This lightweight liquid mineral formula provided me with an incredible coverage and erased almost all of my imperfections. I normally use Dermacol in shade 207 to spot conceal prior to applying my base but this foundation was pretty buildable itself. The older I get the more I appreciate products like this one, leaving me with a flawless, youtful complexion. Now let’s talk lips. Along with this PR package came 3 lip products: a lipgloss in shade Beloved with nourishing ingredients – without stickiness! – another lipgloss in shade Naked and a suède matte lip crayon in shade Rumor which didn’t end up working out for me since it did bleed on me a little bit on the outer edges of my lips and the product transfered pretty quickly. Even though this is a matte lip crayon it didn’t feel dry on m lips. It had an intense opaque color payoff with a velvety-smooth finish. The formula works hydrating since it is enriched with antioxidants, Vitamins C and E and conditioning Mango Oil and Shea Butter properties. I would recommand using a lip liner with this product. Personally, I am more into liquid lipsticks or lipglosses.

Talking about sparkle, Glo’s Moonstruck eyeshadow pallete comes with eight vibrant mattes and metallics. The shadows are infused with vitamins C and E and green tea extract. These velvety high-pigment mineral-based shadows had a long wearability and the dusky deep purple and brown shade gave an incredible dimension to my eyes. I loved the fact that was a crease color included in every palette. The shadows blended well and were pigmented. I didn’t experience any fall-out while creating various e eye-looks. One of the metallic shades, (naam) became my go-to inner corner highlight. My favorite palette within this line is their The Velvets palette. I love when brands like Glo Skin Beauty have everything I need to start and finish my routine. What’s your current favorite product?
