Love thy Makeup is a website for makeup lovers everywhere providing its customers a fabulous range of products at affordable prices. They currently stock a vast selection of the gorgeous Technic Cosmetics range and are constantly adding to their selection of products. They currently stock around 160 different products in their range, some items in the collection are vegan and alcohol-free. Other Technic products contain animal by-products, such as Beeswax and Lanolin and therefore are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. They state on their website that they are working hard to update their site and ensure that all product descriptions are clearly labelled to help our customers to make an informed purchase decision. Technic Cosmetics has send me two PR packages containing a blush, a bronzer, one translucent face powder and one loose face powder in shade Terracotta which clearly was too dark for me but with summer approaching or when I have a spray tan, this might be a winner. They also included two baked highlighters which became my current favorite. It gave me that thirs trimester glow without being pregnant and without the cravings. Even on days when I use a different highlighter, I enjoy using this after baking to make my under-eye area look more radiant, fresh and awake. What I love about Technic, affordable make-up, great quality and price and everyone can find a product within their range that fits their skintone from very pale types to the more deep and dark skintones. And can we talk about this brush! – I have several higher-end brushes and this one is so perfect for contouring! The bristles didn’t fell out after several uses and the brush doesn’t feel cheap at all, hence the gold detailing with I’m obsessed with. I bought another angled contour brush by Technic for my travelkit when I was in London and saw Technic’s display in stores!
The Colour Fix palette can be used for both cream contour and highlighting as well colour correcting. It didn’t seem to perform well on my skin even though it blends great. The palette comes with eight carefully selected pastel shades to target specific areas. The silky texture of each shade makes blending effortless, and it comes with handy hints on the back to make colour correcting easier than ever. The Technic Colourfix Colour Corrector Palette won a Highly Commended Award in the 2016 Pure Beauty Award. I am not the biggest fan of cream contouring so for me, personally, this wasn’t a favorite. The Mega Sultry 2 eyeshadow palette contains a combination of 12 colors both mattes and shimmers for a soft glam look and the deeper, warm tones for a night out look. I was pleasantly suprised when I noticed that I didn’t need any fixing spray to amplify the pigment of the glittery eyeshadows. The only color I struggled with was the cool-toned blue shade, it was a bit sheer. A couple of the matte shades are a bit chalky but nothing you cannot work with, luckily they did blend were well! When picking up the product it does pick up a lot so you have to tap the excess off before application to avoid fall out. I decided to pick up several other palettes up myself while being in London.
The Technic red lipstick performed great, as far as pigmentation goes I had to apply two to three layers to get a full pout but this is very common with red, orange and purple shades of lipstick. The only remark I have is that the lipstick by Technic transfered and wore off quickly throughout the day. I don’t own many red lipsticks but for the price point, this is a budget-friendly option to consider picking up at the drugstore or online. The Estée Lauder lipstick is richer in pigment and even more long-lasting, but this is a higher end brand and not a budget-buy. The Technic Superfine bronzer on the other hand has a soft-texture and is very cool-toned which looked amazing when I’ve shaped and carved out the features I wanted to define on my face. I definitely recommend picking up this one! The blush on the other hand, is another favorite of mine. Great pigmentation, buildable and gives me the perfect flush of pink for an overall healthy-looking complexion. On days when I prefer to wear a more natural look hence when running errands; wearing a hint of blush, some BB cream and mascara doesn’t make me miss using a bronzer at all. I enjoy the fact that Technic is an affordable brand and has consistency within their productlines. Besides being afforable, Technic isn’t only a great brand for beginners, I am highly convinced that once you’ve tried several items, you will keep these as a staple in your make-up kit.
